Hello everybody,
as promised you get a new task about our trip to Oxford.
Please add an entry about this trip to your blog by answering the following questions:
What was your favorite day? Describe what you did during this day and explain why you liked it so much.
What did you like about the trip in general? What did you not like so much?
Would you like to study at Oxford University? Why/Why not?
What differences did you spot between Germany and England/ Great Britain? Mention at least three aspects. (You may take into account the list you prepared in the bus.)
Of course, you may also add some of your best pictures.
Here’s a special task for those you did not take part in the trip:
1. Shortly sum up what you did last week.
2. Please read the entries of at least four of your classmates and write comments to them or ask them questions via their blog.
Have a close look at the differences they spotted and try to find pictures of the things (e.g. number plates, road signs) they mention by using google. Add these pictures to your blog.
Enjoy your tasks, which are to be completed by May 13th.

Most of you are surely waiting impatiently for carnival to start.
In most countries of the world, Carnival is not celebrated.
So it is time to give your new friends from abroad some information about it.
Tell them what carnival is and what your plans are for these days.
You might even add pictures of you in your fancy dresses.
But maybe you do not like carnival. In this case, you might tell them why.
Please have your task finished until February 10.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your holidays (if you’re celebrating carnival or not)!!

Do you remember your homework on the list about “The German Way of Life” (book, p. 20)?
Please add the comments that you wrote then into your blog.
Take into consideration that your partners do not have this list. So it is useful to state first what aspect you are talking about (e.g. in a title for each comment or in the first sentence).

As we are going to see a theatre performance of A Christmas Carol on Monday, we listened to the first eight chapters of the story in class and talked about Ebenezer Scrooge and the three ghosts. Before we actually go and see the performance, I’d like you to work on the following task:
Summarize what has happened so far, and speculate on how the story might end. Think about what may happen to Scrooge, the Cratchits and Tiny Tim, and write a little text about this in your own blog. It will be much more fun if you do it on your own (without copying from your classmates’ blog entries, and without looking up the real ending on the internet :))
Please do that by Friday. Of course you are welcome to comment on your classmates’ entries afterwards. Have fun!

Now that you all have installed your blogs, you are certainly keen on getting in touch with the world.
As you might have noticed, our partners from Australia, Denmark and Spain have also started their blogs.
Please go to their sites and try to find at least three students having something in common with you (e.g. birthday, name, favourite book/movie/music, hobbies, etc.) and leave them a comment.
You might ask them something you have always wanted to ask people from their country, tell them something about yourselves and your hobbies or share your expectations from the blog with
them … (Please use your imagination. :))
Have fun!
